It All Started With a Little “What If?”

After years of working with little learners, one thing became pretty clear: children are wonderfully curious, endlessly creative and full of surprises. Sometimes, all it takes is the right approach to turn an “I can't do it!” into an “WAIT, I DID IT!”

And that's how Readefined came to life.

Not to reinvent phonics itself, but to redefine how children experience learning it.

Because learning can be playful AND purposeful. Who says we have to choose?

Oh, So You Wanna Know Who's Behind This?

Hi, I'm the human behind Readefined!

I'm an early childhood educator with teaching experience across Singapore and Australia, from MOE Kindergarten classrooms to leading preschool rooms in Sydney.

With a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, phonics training, and years of hands-on teaching experience, I've had the privilege of working with children of different ages, abilities, personalities, and learning needs.

I'm also currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Sociology, where I'm particularly interested in how children's social environments shape the way they learn, grow, and develop. It's a perspective that continues to shape how I approach teaching!

And if there's one thing I've learnt along the way, it's this:

The same lesson won't work the same way for every child.

Some children learn best through movement. Others love stories, games, or a little extra time to figure things out.

My favourite part of teaching? That moment when a child's face lights up because something finally clicks.

So here I am, turning my love for early childhood education into Readefined. Just me, a laptop, an unreasonable number of Canva tabs, and one very big dream!

No two little learners are the same! We tailor each lesson to your child's strengths, interests, and learning needs.

We're Starting Small. But Dreaming BIG.

Readefined started with a simple belief: learning to read should be meaningful, accessible and something children can feel excited about.

Today, we're bringing that belief to life through personalised, one-to-one online phonics lessons for little learners aged 4–8.

But the dream doesn't stop at the screen.

We hope to continue creating playful learning opportunities, practical resources for families and a community where children's little victories are celebrated, no matter how small.
